Noisy Offering Opportunities

We collect a Noisy Offering of loose change, rolled change, or not-so-noisy cash and checks for a designated ministry on the third Sunday of each month. Watch your bulletin for this month's ministry.

Two special studies on United Methodism will be offered Thursday nights in September and October. In September, the Rev. Rena Yocom will lead a study of who we are as a church. These four sessions will focus on the “Wonder, Love and Praise” report she spoke about a few weeks ago. In October, Pastor Jim will lead studies of John Wesley’s “The Character of a Methodist.” Both sessions will be 7-8:30 p.m. in Grace Place. Free study guides will be available. You can sign up for them in Fellowship Hall.

Our annual Charge Conference has been scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 8 at Lawrence First United Methodist Church, 946 Vermont St. It will again be a “cluster” conference. Nine pastoral charges will be involved. The others are Centenary-Linwood, Lawrence Central, Eudora, Wellsville-Clearfield, Vinland, Baldwin First, Ives Chapel, and Worden.
